Today marks the end of a four-day weekend filled with celebrations, cake, films and games.
It was a bank holiday weekend in the UK so everyone had Monday off, but Elle and I also booked off the Tuesday as we were celebrating her birthday.
We went back to the rooftop bar/cinema to see Breakfast at Tiffany’s. You’re given headphones so you can hear properly and blankets so you can stay warm from the numbing British wind.
Aside from that, it was great to catch up with friends at the bar and play table tennis and giant Jenga. Elle also received some nice presents, including a Lush Spa treatment from me for the Tales of Bath (Lush’s newest massage).
On Sunday I did a 24-hour gaming marathon to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. I’ve done these in the past for the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, raising as much as £148. This time I raised just £25, but I had a lot fun and every donation helps so I have no regrets 🙂
Today we went to Wimbledon for a tour of the museum and tennis grounds. The Wimbledon championship starts soon and Elle is very excited to have won tickets. Although it’s a ghost town now, the grounds were still busy with staff and construction workers getting the place ready for the thousands of sports fans that will soon be heading there.
That’s all for now. Another week at work beckons. Have a good one, folks!
