Memories of Jamaica

Ocean waves roll gently over the sand. The water feels warm on our feet.

We walk along the beach, feeling the hot Jamaican sun on our skin. The searing heat is abated by the cool breeze blowing in from the sea. Palm trees sway gently in the wind.

The days are full of sunbathing and swimming in the sea… a warm clear blue sea like we always wanted. Cocktails are sipped in the pool’s swim-up bar. Troubles are long forgotten.

This is our honeymoon. Our time.
The food here is amazing. The drinks are plentiful. We put aside any worries about indulging during our time here.

We see natural habitats… we meet the local wildlife.

Footprints left in the sand advertise our recent nuptials.

A lifetime wish of drinking rum from a fresh coconut is fulfilled.

Blue Mountain coffee starts the days, accompanied by gorgeous sunrises.

It has been five years since we were here and the memories are still close to my heart. Our perfect honeymoon. Our paradise.

Sometimes, I close my eyes and remember what it was like.

We left here years ago, but I brought a piece of it with me. Right here, in my memories.

And here it will always be.
