Merry Christmas – 2017

Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope you’ve all been having a wonderful time, whatever you’ve been upto.

Christmas began in earnest for my family on Christmas Eve, with the opening of our Christmas Eve boxes. This is a tradition started by my wife, Elle. These boxes are basically a little something to enjoy on Christmas Eve.

I loved my box as it included some warm slipper socks to wear and a tiny bottle of Monkey Shouler whisky. There’s just something I love about miniature bottles of spirits that somehow make them more appealing πŸ˜› Our baby Zack also joined our tradition this year with his own box full of toys and clothing items.

Elle’s box was designed to give her an evening of relaxing in a Lush bath with some Prosecco and a face mask.

Another tradition of ours is to get Chinese take-away on Christmas Eve. Elle and I have been doing this since we started living together.

And then of course came the big day! A day of family, food, and warm fuzzy feelings πŸ™‚ Here are some photos of the day.

Rummaging through our Christmas stockings in bed.

Opening presents from under the tree πŸ™‚

I received Japanese games and Japanese whisky (^_^)

Breakfast cooked by Elle is another tradition… pancakes and bacon πŸ™‚

Christmas lunch. Yum!

Decorations at my parents place.

Even more food!

The only downside is that I couldn’t enjoy a Christmas tipple as I was driving. So I’m having one while writing this post πŸ™‚

It’s approaching midnight and little Zack is fast asleep. I’m on the couch with a glass of Akashi whisky and the recorded Dr Who finale to enjoy with Elle.

I sincerely hope you have all had a lovely day. Thank you all for reading, folks.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! (^_^)
