It’s 11pm on a Wednesday night.
It’s one of those nights when you’re so exhausted you don’t even have the energy to shower. I should shower. It’s been a hot day and I’ve been commuting on crowded trains. But I don’t want everything in my day to be functional. Not when so much of the day is already functional and designed around working.
Commute to the office. Work all day. Commute back home. Eat dinner. Do the dishes. Shower. Fall asleep. And that’s assuming the baby doesn’t have a bad night and keeps you up.
Yes, it’s been a long day. I’d like to be able to tell you I’m going to do something fun now. I’m going to binge a few episodes of something on Netflix or meet up with some Playstation buddies and play a few games.
But in reality, I’m not doing any of that. I’m going to post this blog and collapse into the dark embrace of sleep. Hopefully it won’t be on the couch. I think I can make it to the bedroom.
If not… well we’ll see.
I hope you’re all having a great day, folks. Thanks for reading 🙂
