Summer appears to be winding down in London.
Gone are the blue skies, heat and sunshine… replaced by cool breezes and the city’s usual dirty cotton wool skies.
As we sail towards autumn, I find myself feeling not even remotely sad about it. Why? Quite simply because we’ve had a brilliant summer this year! The best in my entire life, in fact, and one I will fondly recall for years to come.
Here are some of my favourite moments of the season.
Relaxing in our new garden (and catching Pokemon!)
My wife Elle was a bridesmaid at our friends’ outdoor wedding.
For the wedding, we spent a couple of nights in a nearby Travelodge that had a nice bar. I spent the nights relaxing here, chatting to friends and playing video games.
We had a few picnics in the park with friends and family.
I attended the Hyper Japan expo at Olympia, which was incredibly fun! I came away with some nice goodies to enjoy too.
Elle and I went to see Avengers Infinity War at the Odeon Lounge. While I wasn’t enamoured with the film, the luxury experience was wonderful.
My colleagues surprised me at work with a birthday cake.
I received some excellent birthday presents!
And finally, Elle and I celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary.
All in all, it’s been a great summer. Of course, there have been stressful times. There always are. But that just means the good times are all the sweeter.
This little Fed is ready for autumn. Goodbye summer and thank you for everything 🙂
