After the sobering tone of my last post, I wanted to share some positive snippets of my life in the lockdown.
First of all… spring has arrived!
April has brought with it a lovely burst of sunshine and warmth. Flowers are already starting to bloom, returning a bit of colour to the landscape. It’s really nice to look at during the daily walk.
While being contained indoors, my wife and I have been coming up with different ways to keep the children entertained.

We’ve been planning our weekly meals more carefully given the precarious manner in which we have to do our food shopping these days. But that’s still allowed us to enjoy some delicious mealtimes.
After the kids have gone to sleep, Elle and I have also been able to enjoy some ‘movie nights’ with Disney Plus.
Okay, they’re not quite movie nights as we usually don’t have time to get through a whole film. But we have gone through the first few episodes of The Mandalorian and I am so digging the atmosphere and visual style of that show.
As we’re in a lockdown, I have done something I told myself I would never do… I’ve let my beard grow out 😛 I mean why bother shaving? I may as well have a lockdown goatee!
Everyone who has seen me so far – both friends and family alike – find it amusing because they’ve never seen me with facial hair before.
What do you think – does it work or should I get rid of it? 😛
Finally… I was fortunate enough to receive my copy of the upcoming game, Final Fantasy VII Remake a whole seven days early!
The publisher, Square Enix, decided to ship it out early due to the corona virus pandemic. I am absolutely delighted to be playing it so early!
For the sake of other fans around the world, Square Enix has asked players not to share anything on social media until the official launch date of 10th April. I feel that’s completely fair, so I’ll write my thoughts about it in a future blog post.
For now, I’ll simply share a picture of the acrylic stand I got as a pre-order bonus 🙂
That’s all for now. Keep the world safe and stay at home, folks.
Thanks for reading! 🙂
